.--Appointments, Certification and Training

Dr. Capella is the Chief of the Division of Post Bariatric Surgery in the department of plastic surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Capella graduated from Phillips Academy Andover and received a BA degree from Cornell University and an M.D. from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. He completed a general surgery residency at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, an affiliate of Columbia University, and trained in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Dr. Capella is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
